(From Fohn Funeral Home)Ernest Lee “Ernie’ Creamer, age 75, of Monett, Missouri passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri.
He was born August 13, 1946 in Ontario, Oregon the son of John and Jessie (Jones) Creamer.
On March 8, 1976 in Miami, Oklahoma he was united in marriage to Christy Lyons, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Dena Creamer of Clarksville, Arkansas and Carol Davidson and her husband David of St. Louis, Missouri; three brothers, John Creamer and his wife Louise of Winchendon, Massachusetts, David Creamer of Cassville, Missouri and Mike Creamer of Centerton, Arkansas and three grandchildren, Ryan, Brendan and Hayden.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two sisters, Frances Deffenbaugh and Judith Sprinkles.
Ernie moved to this area in 1960 with his parents. After graduating from Midway High School in Stark City, Missouri he attended Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri. He owned and operated Ernie’s Chicken Shack in Cassville and The Broadway Inn in Monett. Some of his favorite pastimes were bowling, playing golf, hunting and fishing.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Bob Deffenbaugh will conduct the services. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville.
Contributions may be made to donor’s choice in memory of Ernie.
