Janice Douglas

Janice Annette Douglas 63, passed away on June 20, 2022, in Joplin, Missouri.

Janice was born on December 4, 1958, in Bakersfield, California to Jim and Barbara Pitts. She was raised in Grove, Oklahoma most of her life, then moved to Tiff City, Missouri where she attended and graduated from McDonald County High School. Janice was a long-time resident of Alba, Missouri, prior to moving to Granby, Missouri where she and her husband Tony lived for several years.

Her hobbies included crocheting and gardening. She loved animals and playing games. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandsons and working at Cracker Barrel.








Janice is preceded in death by her parents Jim and Barbara Pitts of Bristow, OK, her grandparents Dallas and Jean Smith of Grove, John M and Lucy Pitts of Bristow, and one son Jason Pitts of Milfay, Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband Tony of the home, one daughter Kaye Branum and son-in-law Jason, three grandsons: Cody, Christopher, and Eli all of Granby, Missouri. Her sister Sherry Coffman of Stroud, OK, sister Janeice Tribe and husband Russell of Sand Springs and two nephews Jimmy Pitts of Pennsylvania and Caleb Tribe of Sand Springs, two nieces, Krista Tabor and family and Kayla Tribe of Sand Springs. Two great nephews Kaden and Cayson, and one great niece Kleio of Pennsylvania and many other relatives.

Graveside service will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Council House Cemetery in Wyandotte, Oklahoma. 

 Arrangements under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma.
