Mary Lou Kendrick

(From Forbis and Dick Funeral Service)

We celebrate the life of Mary Lou Kendrick who passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022 in Greensboro, North Carolina.

As we mourn, we also find time to celebrate and to treasure the special times spent together… whether on the golf course, bridge table, tennis court, at the beach, or toasting with a glass of Bailey’s. Mary Lou’s warmth, generous spirit, sweet laughter, quiet intelligence, and goodwill were contagious!

Mary Louise Donahoe was born to Hazel Allard DuPlantier and Thomas Edward Donahoe on January 31, 1942 in Joplin, Missouri.

After graduating from Pittsburg State Teacher’s College in Pittsburg, Kansas, she began her career as an elementary school teacher in Omaha, Nebraska then on to Tulsa, Oklahoma.

It was in Tulsa that she met and married Charles (Bud) Kendrick, spending 49 grand years together.

With Mary Lou’s declining health, Bud was her watchful caregiver. During her last few days, she was at Beacon Place, where she was treated with care and dignity.

In addition to her husband, Mary Lou is survived by her brother, Thomas Donahoe, Jr. and a host of cousins.
