(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Lawrence Lee Byrd, 67, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at his residence.
Lawrence was born on June 27, 1957, in Independence, Kansas.
He had resided most of his life in the area.
He worked for Ducommun in Joplin and the former Thorco in Lamar, Missouri, before retiring in 2020.
He was an Air Force veteran and was of the Christian faith.
He enjoyed collecting guitars and collecting guns.
Survivors include his mother; Doris Lucille Replogle Byrd of Joplin, Missouri, three brothers; Jeff Byrd of Joplin, Missouri, Steve Byrd of Carterville, Missouri, and David Byrd of Joplin, Missouri, one sister; Patricia Byrd of Branson, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his father; Robert Lee Byrd and one brother; Terry Byrd.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at a later date.
