(From Weng Funeral Chapel)Viola Ann Spangler, 85 of Carthage, Missouri passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, MO. Viola was born on June 2, 1940 in Jasper County, Missouri to Milton and Thelma (Baker) Conway. Viola had worked many years at H.E. Williams in Carthage. Viola was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Carthage.
Viola was united in marriage to John Spangler on April 23, 1961.He preceded her in death on October 15, 2020. Survivors include two daughters, Wennonah Louden (Kenneth), and Deb Bailey (Dale), one stepson, Terry Spangler (Nancy), six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and three stepchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Avilla Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 9, 2025 from 6:00 to 7:00 p,m. at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO. Burial will be in Avilla Cemetery.
