James Scott Holman, age 52 of Carterville, Missouri, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin following a short illness. James was born March 8, 1972 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Eldon and Jo Ann (De’Bore) Holman.
James graduated school and attended trade school in mechanical engineering. At his time of passing, James was working for AJINOMOTO Foods where he was a dependable and hard-working employee. On April 5, 2003, James married Brandy Carpenter, she survives of the home in Carterville.

Additional survivors include sons, Rhys Holman of Joplin and Bryce Holman of Chic, California; daughter, Kayla Sturgeon of Chico; grandchildren, Ezra, Anthony and Cali; brother, Jeff Holman of Sacramento, California; host of extended family and friends.
No services are planned at this time.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
