(From Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home)JoAnn (Borthick) Montgomery, 95, Joplin, MO, formerly of Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest, December 29, 2024 at Freeman West Hospital after an illness.
JoAnn Borthick was born November 11, 1929 in Ottawa County, OK the daughter of Beryl and Vesta (Keller) Borthick.
JoAnn was a 1947 graduate of Seneca High School. She formerly worked for Kansas City Power and Light Company from 1947-1951. After returning to the area she then went to work for Empire District Electric Company retiring in 1988 as an Accounts Payable Supervisor. JoAnn was a member of the Seneca United Methodist Church.
JoAnn Borthick married James (Jim) Montgomery in Bentonville, AR and he preceded her in death July 22, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, June Bushner.
JoAnn is survived by Jim's daughters, Linda Garner and husband Frank, Clayton, NC and Sandra Hartley and husband Dennis, Carthage, MO; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, January 2, 2025 at the Seneca Cemetery with Justin Coberley officiating.
