(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)David Roughton of Joplin, MO passed away May 30, 2021.
David was born February 8, 1943, in Bentonville, Arkansas to John Roughton and Bertha Gibson.
David started for Joplin Fire Department on May 1, 1967, he became a driver February 1, 1976, and retired in 1992. David also was a school bus driver for Carl Junction High School.
David is preceded in death by his parents John and Bertha Roughton, his three brothers; Orville Roughton, Truman Roughton, Don Roughton and his sister, Juanita Roughton.
Survivors include son, David Thomas Jr. and three daughters; Melissa Roughton, Cherie Wallace, Christina Bay; two stepsons, Robert Robbins, Scott Robbins; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren
A Memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2022, at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
