Melissa was born October 24, 1975 in Miami, OK to Jon and Leslie (Eagon) Carver. She had lived in the Peoria and Commerce area most of her life. She had worked as a cook at Eastwood Manor in Commerce, OK and for Quapaw Public Schools. Melissa was a member of First Baptist Church in Peoria, OK.

She was married to Darrin Botts. 

Survivors include 1 son, Mason Botts of Commerce, OK, 3 daughters, Tiffany Anderson of Miami, OK, Amanda Burt and husband Zeb of Miami, OK and Kayla Namestka and husband Tyler of Miami, OK, her father and stepmother, Jon and Theresa Carver of Carl Junction, MO, her mother and stepfather, Leslie and Pat McCoy of Quapaw, OK, 1 sister, Tammy Holcomb of Nevada, MO, maternal grandmother, Frances Eagon of Peoria, OK and 5 grandchildren.

Darrin was born September 24, 1965 in Miami, OK to Darrell and Joann (Marshall) Botts. He had lived in the Commerce area most of his life and worked at Commerce Plastics.

He was married to Melissa Botts.
