(From Knell Mortuary)John M. “Jack” Crede, 82, Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023. Jack was born August 21, 1940, in Westphalia, Missouri, to Clarence and Agnes (Veltrop) Crede.
Jack was retired from owning and operating Ott Food Products in Carthage, and was a proud veteran of the US Army. He graduated from Fatima High School in Westphalia, Missouri, and then from Missouri State University with degrees in accounting and economics.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judi Crede; his sister, Mary Ann Klebba, Westphalia, Missouri; brothers, Bill (Judie) Crede, Koelztown, Missouri, and Paul (Joyce) Crede, Westphalia, Missouri; a brother-in-law, John (Mary) Brunnert, Carthage, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Mary Patten, Jefferson City, Missouri, Agnes (Virgil) Struemph, Freeburg, Missouri, and Gertrude (Charles) Schwartze, Argyle, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great great nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers-in law, Leroy Klebba and James Patten.
Memorial mass will be held 10 am, Saturday, February 4, 2023, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Carthage, Missouri, with rosary being held prior to mass at 9:30 am. The family will receive friends from 5-6 pm, Friday, February 3, 2023, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage.
