Dee Wormington

Idann Marie Wormington, known by those close to her as “Dee”, age 81, of Stark City, Missouri, passed away on September 28, 2023. She was born on November 7, 1941, in Carrizo Springs, Texas, to Howard Willmon Sr. and Mozelle Van Cleve.

Idann pursued a career as a bookkeeper for GoodYear, showcasing her dedication and skill in her work. 








On August 17, 1995, she was united in marriage to David Wormington, in Miami, Oklahoma, who survives her. Idann had a zest for life and a variety of interests that brought her joy. She delighted in the simple pleasure of picking pecans and had a passion for exploring new places, making her a dedicated traveler. Her love for cooking and baking filled her home with warmth and delicious aromas. She was an avid reader, finding solace and adventure in the pages of her books, and she had a sweet tooth for chocolate candies.

Idann's family was at the center of her heart. She is survived by her two daughters, Binky Archer and her husband David of Bandera, Texas, and Danae Russell of Ritchey, Missouri. Her stepdaughter, Lynelle "Nani" Wilson of Kansas City, Missouri, also held a special place in her life. Idann cherished her role as a grandmother to two grandsons, Tyler Russell and Trey Archer, and one granddaughter, Shalyn Archer. Her brother, Howard Willmon Jr. of Carrizo Springs, Texas, shared a lifelong bond with her.

Idann was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Russell, and her parents.

The family invites friends and loved ones to pay their respects and share in their memories of Idann on Monday, October 2, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home in Granby, Missouri. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Newtonia IOOF Cemetery in Newtonia, Missouri.








Idann Marie Wormington will be remembered for her love of family, her adventurous spirit, and her talents in the kitchen. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
