He was born March 30, 1930, in Kansas City, MO, to Gilbert Lorenzo Meek and Treva Louise (Peete) Meek.
Skip served in the United States Marine Corps in Korea.
He is survived by his wife, Jo (Woodward) Meek, two daughters, Robin Ann Meek, of Joplin, MO, and Carol Lea (Meek) Needham, of Bella Vista, AR, and two grandsons, Ethan Needham and Curran Meek, and also one stepdaughter, Debbie Wilhoit, and sons, Clayton and Cord Franks.
As per Skip's request, no services are planned.
In lieu of flowers donations can be directed towards a local Veteran's program in his memory.
