In 1978, Camie began selling Stanley Home Products. Through dedication and hard work, she rose to the position of Regional Vice President. Her career took her across the country, where she worked very hard, encouraged others, and made a lasting impact on countless people whose lives she touched along the way.
Camie found joy in life’s simple but meaningful pleasures like a good shopping trip, the beauty of sea turtles, collecting turquoise, and having her nails done. She loved jewelry and was known for eating dessert first. There weren’t many days you found Camie without a bottle of Coke, her favorite.
She is survived by her son, Bart Burkey, and his wife Kelly, of Diamond; her grandchildren, Kanah (Colton) McDaniel and Barrett Burkey (Makya Neil); and her great-grandchildren, Knoxlee and Lynnlee McDaniel, and Oakleigh Neil.
