(From Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home)Alice Faye Harra, 78, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri from cardiac arrest after a lengthy battle with breast and lymph node cancer. Faye was born on Monday, November 10, 1947, in Stockton, Missouri to Jimmie Raymond Hunt and Mary Elizabeth (Lake) Hunt.
Faye graduated high school in Stockton, Missouri. She earned her cosmetology license and went on to open her own beauty shop. Faye retired as a clerk with the Missouri Department of Probation and Parole in Kansas City, Missouri.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Terry Lee Harra; both her parents, Jimmy and Mary Hunt; four brothers: Jim Hunt, Lloyd Hunt, Bobby Hunt, and Gene Hunt; a sister, Ruth Stroud; and a grandson Cody Sharp.
Faye is survived by a brother, Harold Hunt; a sister, Mary Nelson; four children: Kimberley Turner of Jasper, Missouri, Regina Mellinger and husband Shannon of Carl Junction, Missouri, Alan Sharp and wife Tammy of Alba, Missouri, and Stephanie Sharp of Lamar, Missouri. Faye was blessed with 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Above all, Faye Loved Jesus. She was the first to offer or request prayer in every situation. She knew God was the answer to everything.
Faye enjoyed many hobbies. She enjoyed ceramics and was very talented at making dolls with hand stitched clothing. The elephant ear plants in front of her house were never neglected. She loved tending to her flowers, and her dog Sophie is a spoiled mess. If you asked her, her family was her greatest accomplishment. She would listen, care and try to help her family if she was able. She had recently sold her long-time home in Grandview, Missouri so she could move in with her daughter, Regina, in order to be close to the whole family once again.
No matter the name you call her, wife, sister, mother, grandma, great-grandma or even Faye, she will be dearly missed.
