Jimmie D. Wiseman, age 92, of Carterville, Missouri passed away Sunday November 16, 2025 following a sudden illness.
He was born August 12, 1933 in Sullivan County, Indiana to Leonard and Zella (Faidherbe) Wiseman.
Jim served with the United States Marines in Korea. He worked in manufacturing management with machine parts and textile tension devices. He also worked at several area law enforcement agencies.
He enjoyed helping people, giving guidance and sharing experiences. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
He married Dorothy Woodard on August 13, 1951 in Dugar, Indiana and she preceded him in death on December 31, 2023.
Jim is survived by one daughter, Virginia Wiseman, five grandchildren, Gina Lopez, Dianna Lopez-Albert, Rose Dominquez, Jeanette Anderson, Anna Domingez, as well as a host of extended family and friends including two very special friends, Mickey Bulger and Ron Shaw.
The family will have a memorial service at 4:00pm on Saturday November 29, 2025, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness Carterville.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory Joplin, Missouri.
