Willard Adams

Willard Dean Adams, age 81, of Joplin passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at home surrounded by his family.

Willard was born on December 29, 1943 in Carthage, MO to the union of Willard E. Adams and Charlotte (Lockhard) Adams. After High School, he went on to enlist in the United States Air Force, where he served his country faithfully before returning to civilian life. Willard then went on to dedicate 24 years of his career to Eagle Picher, where he excelled as a Tool & Die Maker. In 2000, Willard decided to retire leaving behind a legacy of professionalism. 






He married Linda Tatum on August 25, 1962 in Carthage, MO. Together they were blessed with 63 years of marriage before his passing. Willard was a man of many passions. He was an avid fan of westerns, NASCAR and football. He loved the outdoors, where he could enjoy the peaceful winds and ripples of the lake while fishing. He also enjoyed sitting by the fire under the trees telling stories at the campsite with his family. Those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with Willard will remember him as funny, selfless and kind.

In addition to his parents, Willard was preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte Roehl.








Willard is survived by his wife, Linda Adams, of the home; two sons, Brian Adams and wife, Elizabeth, of Joplin, MO, and Craig Corbin and wife, Stacey, of Glendale, AZ; and 3 grandchildren, Brianna Pyle, of Webb City, MO, Ryan Rush, of Vail, AZ, and Cassandra Santillan, of Joplin, MO.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel with pastor Jim Bowles officiating. Interment to follow at Jasper Cemetery in Carthage, MO.

Funeral arrangements are under the special care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
