(From Simpson Funeral Home)Lavonda Jean Johnson, a beacon of light and love, was born on the 28th of February, 1952, in Joplin, Missouri. She left us on the 21st of November, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and devotion.
Lavonda's life was a testament to the power of faith, love, and above all, family. She was a woman of deep conviction and unwavering faith, who lived the words of Mother Teresa, “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”
Lavonda was a thoughtful and generous woman, who worked diligently as an Office Manager at Rolling Heights Mobile Estates until her retirement in 2017. She was the backbone of the workplace, her meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills ensuring the smooth running of the park. Lavonda's generosity extended beyond her professional life. She was always the first to lend a helping hand, whether it was to a neighbor, friend, or a stranger in need.
Lavonda is survived by her loving daughter, Caraline Saigh. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles Johnson, her dear daughter Amanda Johnson, and her parents Buel and Ethel Austin. Lavonda's life will be celebrated on Monday, November 24, 2025 with a visitation at 1:30pm at Servant’s Church in Carthage followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm with Ben Johnson officiating.
