Carl F. Brown, age 80, passed away Tuesday June 16, 2015 at Carthage Health and Rehab.
Carl was born August 28, 1934 in Searcy, AR to Emmitt Claude-Brown and Dora Estella “Person” Brown. He was a long time resident of Carthage. Carl was a veteran of The United States Army. He was also a self employed carpenter and a musician.
Carl is survived by three daughters, Paula Angeline “Anne” Brown of Carthage, MO, Retha Brown of Granby, MO, and Sharl Sherwin of McKinney, TX, one brother, John P. Brown of Asbury, MO, one niece, Molly Creswell of Joplin, MO, three nephews, Garrett C. Brown of Lawrence, KS, Frank and Joc McKeynold of Joplin, MO, nine grandchildren, J.D. Williams and wife Elaine, Timothy Williams, Carla Williams, Nicholas Stebler, Christopher Blackwell, Gabrielle Fietzek and husband Mike, Tanya Samuelson, Jacob Scott Sherwin and James Matthew Sherwin, and fourteen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter Teresa Carleen Williams.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday June 23, 2015 at 12:30 pm at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery in Fort Leavenworth, KS. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday June 22, 2015 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com
