Cecilia Elizabeth DeGraffenreid age 74, of Carl Junction passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Mercy Hospital of Joplin.
She was born on November 26, 1940 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Lionel A. Gravel, Sr. and Cecilia K. (Williams) Gravel. Elizabeth was a homemaker, a lifetime Catholic and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Webb City. She loved to travel, especially on cruise ships. She was very blessed and got to travel nearly three quarters of the world.
Elizabeth married Jackie C. DeGraffenreid on December 17, 1960 in Alexandria, Louisiana and he survives at the home. She is also survived by her son, James DeGraffenreid and wife Julie of Phoenix, Arizona; and her grandchildren, Mary and Grace DeGraffenreid. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brothers, James Gravel and Lionel Gravel, Jr.
A funeral mass will be conducted on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Rosary will be held on Sunday at 3:00 PM at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City with visitation to follow until 4:00 PM. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Webb City.
