Suzanne Lewis

Suzanne Ruth Thomas Lewis, 84, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024, after a life filled with love, dedication, and service to others. She lived a full and selfless life, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories and a profound impact on all who knew her.

Suzanne was born on June 7, 1940, in Traer, Iowa, to John and Euterpa Thomas. She graduated from Traer High School in 1958 and attended Wartburg College before marrying her beloved husband, Duane (Lou) Lewis, in 1960. Together, they raised three children: David Lewis of Stella, MO; LuAnne (Lonnie) Bibler of Waverly, IA; and Andrea (Dale) Erickson of Waterloo, IA. 

Suzanne was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren: James (Jodi) McGrane, Robert Wright, Ryan (Madeline) McGrane, Doug (Lesa) McGrane, Heather Lewis, Shane Wright, Gabe (Mercedez) Lewis, and Michael Lewis, and she was blessed with twelve great-grandchildren who were the light of her life.
