Donald W. Pirtle, age 50, of rural Seneca, Mo. passed away at 8:30 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2015 at his home following a one month illness. Donald was born November 11, 1964 in Aberdeen, Washington. He moved to the Joplin area 13 years ago, moving here from Washington State. He was employed as a Truck Driver for Quality Transportation in Halltown, Mo. for 6 years and considered himself an excellent Truck Operator. He attended Shepherd’s Chapel in Gravette, Arkansas and loved studying prophecy in the Word of God.
Donald married Karen Cupp December 31, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nevada and she survives. Additional survivors include two daughters, Anna Reynolds, Joplin, Kelsey Pirtle Barnes, Everett, Washington, one son, John Pirtle, Lacey, Washington, one step son, Jason Lee Skaggs, Joplin, one brother, Tony Rowland and wife Sally, Port Angeles, Washington, one sister, Tina Nilsson and husband Gus, Cosmopolis, Washington and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2015 at the Mason-Woodard Chapel with Butch Ward, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow at the Osborne Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Chapel. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, Mo.
