(From Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home)Charles Fredrick Creed, 81, of Sarcoxie, Missouri passed way Monday, August 21, 2023.
Charles was born on Thursday, November 6, 1941, in rural Jasper County, Missouri to the union of the late Chester William and Helen Victoria (Wiehe) Creed.
On December 24, 1962, he was united in marriage to Thelma Jean Knott. Together they shared fifty-eight years, until her passing on August 3, 2021.
He was employed by Juvenile Shoe and Justin Boot for many years. He was also engaged in full time farming. He enjoyed riding his bicycle with his grandchildren, play dominoes, spending time with family and friends, as well as working on the family farm. He will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Thelma Jean Creed; a son, Mitchell Wayne Creed; siblings, Marlin Creed and Cheryl Reynolds; sister-in-law, Katherine Creed and brother-in-law, Richard Reynolds.
Charles is survived by his son, Michael Creed of Sarcoxie, Missouri; two granddaughters, Bridget Tackett, of Nixa and Heather Norman, and husband, Doug, of Sarcoxie; three great-grandchildren, Kenzie Endicott, Coalsen Norman and Nash Norman; sisters, Patty Williams and husband, Roger, Donna Wommack and husband, George, Sharon Boxx and husband, Larry, Barbara Grieb and husband, Ron and Anita Creed; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services for Charles are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Zion Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Missouri with Pastor James Yost officiating.
Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Doug Norman, Allan Strong, Cody Strong, Ben Strong, Russell Creed and Tommy Jack. Honorary pallbearers are Coalsen Norman, Bruce Higman, Nash Norman, Rod Lewis, Dalton Loveland, Daryl Robinson, Ron Grieb, Ryan Grieb and Mike Dawson.
