Truman Allison

Truman Eugene Allison, of Greenfield, MO, departed this life on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at the Good Shepherd Community Care and Rehabilitation Facility in Lockwood, MO at the age of 93.

He was born on December 16, 1929 in Miller, MO to Truman Speer and Blanche Omega (Daughtrey) Allison. Eugene graduated from Greenfield High School, and attended S.M.S. 









He was united in marriage to Amy Lee Stephens on August 10, 1949 at the Greenfield First Christian Church. Eugene was a lifetime farmer. He served on the Greenfield School Board of Education for 12 years, was the Treasurer for the Pennsboro Cemetery Association for several years. Eugene was a member and an Elder of the Greenfield First Christian Church for many years. He enjoyed working on his farms, and loved spending time with his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Truman and Blanche Allison; his wife, Amy Lee Allison; and one great-granddaughter, Chloe Farris.

Survivors include his three children, Teresa Russell and husband Bill of Springfield, MO, Steve Allison and wife Anita of South Greenfield, MO, and Marla Gillen of Greenfield, MO; his sister, Melba Rector of Springfield, MO; six grandchildren, Sara Frickenschmidt, Susan Russell and Jace Knox, Marc Allison and wife Megan, Eric Allison and wife Kirsten, Brittany Allison and Brady Burns, and Phillip Gillen; eight great-grandchildren, Phoebe Farris and Dakota Pruiett, Leora Russell-Whitlock, Pace Allison, Camden Allison, Coyer Allison, Brooks Allison, Beckett Allison, and Callen Burns; and one great-great-grandchild, Nora Pruiett.








Family and friends are welcome to view and pay their respects at their convenience on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Greenfield Funeral Chapel. Private family graveside services will be held at Pennsboro Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greenfield First Christian Church or to the Pennsboro Cemetery. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
