Norine Moffatt

Norine Moffatt was born October 30, 1942, in Freeport, Illinois, the second of two daughters to Albert Durwood and Frances Lottie (Rodebaugh) Baumgartner. She entered into rest on August 18, 2023 at her home in Neosho, Missouri, at the age of 80. 

Norine graduated from Paris High School, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education from MSSU and then received her specialist degree from SMS. She began her teaching career in 1976, teaching at Triway Elementary in Stella, Missouri. She then began teaching third grade at Field School and retired as Principal of Field School after thirty-two years in education. 








She was an avid exerciser, enjoyed working in flowers, crocheting, knitting and her dogs. She and her husband traveled extensively after retirement and she enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. 

Norine and Robert W. Moffatt were united in marriage on March 7, 1965 in Springfield, Missouri and Bob survives of the home. 








In addition to her husband of fifty-eight years, she is survived by her son, Tony Moffatt and wife, Leasa of Huntsville, Alabama; five grandchildren, Andrew Moffatt, William Moffatt, Grant Moffatt, Tori Moffatt and Cate Moffatt; one sister, Nadeine Gold of Clever Missouri and beloved nieces and a nephew. 

Services will be at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Pastor Terry Swagerty will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service until 7:30 pm. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Norine may be made to the Neosho Schools Charitable Foundation or Faithful Friends, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850.
