Justin Skaggs

Justin D. Skaggs, age 44, of Grove, Ok, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023, in the comfort of his home.

Justin was born on January 1, 1979, to Bill and Janice (Hayes) Skaggs in Gravette, AR. He grew up in Seneca, MO and graduated from Seneca High School Class of 1997 – where he earned the title “Class Clown."

Having a knack for sales, Justin began working at the John Deere dealership in Anderson, MO and was there for several years. He went on to be the Manager of the Kubota dealership in Grove and most recently partnered in opening Tractor World in Grove. When you met Justin as a customer, you quickly became his friend. He took pride in taking great care of his many patrons.

On April 26, 2020, Justin married the love of his life, Missy Skaggs, in Neosho, MO and the couple made their home in Grove.

Justin was a member of Church of the Shepherd and the Masonic Lodge in Neosho, MO. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but more than anything else, Justin loved making people laugh and will be remembered for his infectious smile. Justin always spoke his mind and cherished time spent with his family. He will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Left to cherish Justin’s memory, wife, Missy Skaggs and children: Jayd Skaggs, Mylee Ketchum and husband Levi, Hynlee Skaggs, Tantyn Skaggs, Hagen Sumter and Livvy Sumter; parents, Bill and Janice Skaggs of Seneca, MO; sisters, Cristi Hudson and husband, Jimmy of Fairland, and Angie Smith and husband Brad of Wyandotte, brother, Jason Skaggs and wife, Laura of Nixa, MO and many loving nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 2-4pm Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Nichols-Stephens Funeral & Cremation Service. The funeral service will be at 11am Monday, August 21, 2023, at Church of the Shepherd.
