(From Ozark Funeral Home)Shirley Marie Teague, 83, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Friday December 27, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
Shirley was born to the late Loren and Wanda (Baker) York on April 30, 1941 in Racine, Missouri. On August 23, 1961 in Dayton, Oregon she was united in marriage to Kenneth Teague and together they shared forty-eight years. Throughout her life, Shirley worked at Vacation Rentals in Bella Vista, Arkansas for several years, she enjoyed karaoke, embroidery, crocheting, reading, fishing, working in her flower beds and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Teague; two sons, Robert Wayne Teague and Marty Warren; brother, Howard York.
Shirley is survived by her three sons, David Teague of Grove, Oklahoma, Clint Teague and wife, Mary, of Anderson, Missouri and Arley Teague and wife, Cassandra, of Anderson, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother, Ernest York and wife, Joyce of Butler, Missouri; as well as a host of other family and friends who will dearly miss Shirley.
Funeral services for Shirley will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 3, 2025 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Bro. Justin Steadman officiating. Burial will follow in the Pineville Cemetery.
Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Josh Teague, Chauncey Teague, Trenton Wright, Jack Teague, Timber Teague and Justin Cunningham. The family will receive friends on Thursday January 2, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
