Nathan Brown

(From Bath-Naylor Funeral Home)

Nathan MariƩe Schaffer Thomas Brown, 17, of Pittsburg, went to be with his Lord on December 23, 2024 due to a vehicle accident.
He was born June 2, 2007 in Newton County, Missouri. Nathan was a senior at Pittsburg High School.

All will remember Nathan for his infectious smile that could brighten anyone’s day. He had a kind and loving soul and was the first to ask everyone, “How are you doing? “and really cared about what you had to say.

Nathan made friends easily no matter where he went. Friends would describe him as funny, generous, confident, loyal, honest, caring, thoughtful, and an encouraging person. He also had a special way of cheering others up when they were down.

He was known for his great style, including his love for shoes, and always wanting to look his best. He had many artistic abilities, but his passion was making music especially with his friends. Nathan also enjoyed cutting hair for his friends and family. He had plans to become a barber in the future.

Nathan loved to share his talents with others especially by teaching his brother, Ray, how to make the “perfect” hot chocolate, which Ray made for the family on Christmas Eve to help carry on the tradition.

Adult friends and family always complemented Nathan for being respectful and going out of his way to take time to talk with them no matter what he was doing. He was humble and quick to help others.

Nathan was an amazing son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, cousin, and friend.

He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg, KS.

Nathan will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by family and friends. Especially by his dad, Adam, brother, Ray, and sister, Kaszha whom he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Kathan and Marcellus ”Roudie” Schaffer.

Celebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Monday, December 30, 2024 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg, KS. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Pittsburg. The parish rosary will be recited at 6 pm Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg. The family will receive friends after the rosary service at the church.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be in the form of memorials to the family to help with final expenses. Condolences may be left at our web site www.bathnaylor.com
