(From Clark Funeral Home)With heavy hearts and a spirit filled with gratitude, we announce the passing of Barbara Evaleen Troxel, who departed this life on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024, at the age of 86. Barbara was born on August 30, 1938, to Henry and Mary Studdard Otten in Mount Home, Arkansas. Barbara lived a rich life of faith, ultimately making her home in Neosho, Missouri.
Barbara was a homemaker and a proud graduate of the Neosho High School Class of 1958. A believer in Jesus Christ, her faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She found joy in sharing her love for music, often looking forward to the delightful performances brought to the residents of Medical Lodge, where she enjoyed the company and camaraderie of her friends.
Barbara is survived by her three sons, David Troxel and wife Linda, Rick Troxel and wife Val, and Jim Troxel and wife Melinda; her brother, Jerry Otten; her sister, Shirley Cornett; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Barbara’s life. A public viewing will take place at the Clark Funeral Home on December 30, 2024 from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Following the viewing, a graveside service will occur at Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery at 1:00 PM the same day, where Barbara will be laid to rest.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter LaDonna Otten, and two brothers Gerald Otten, Calvin Otten.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Medical Lodge (Patient Care Fund).
Barbara will be deeply missed.
