Lynne Sidenstricker

(From Knell Mortuary)

Patricia Lynne Sidenstricker, 79, of Neck City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025.

Lynne was born on September 3, 1946, in Carthage, to John and Doris Welty. She grew up in Carthage and graduated from Carthage High School, where she began a lifelong journey of kindness, service, and care for others.

In 1967, Lynne began her remarkable career as a nurse — a calling that would span more than five decades. She devoted her life to caring for children, offering comfort and compassion to countless families throughout her 51 years in nursing. Her gentle spirit, calm presence, and unwavering dedication touched everyone who knew her.

Lynne married the love of her life, Ron Sidenstricker, and together they built a home filled with laughter, warmth, and love. She had a deep affection for animals, especially horses, and found joy and peace in time spent at the barn.

Lynne is survived by her husband, Ron; her children, Blair (Ali) Corl of Joplin, Devin (Anthony) Gaston of Joplin, and Mackenzi (Dallas) Messick of Stark City; her cherished grandchildren, Mason, Madison, Emyllie, Isabel, Marley, Quincy, Raelynn, and Great Granddaughter Ruby. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Doris Welty.

Lynne’s kindness, strength, and generous heart will be remembered and deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched, both within her family and through her lifelong service as a nurse.

A celebration of Lynne’s life will be held at a later date in Carthage, surrounded by family and friends.
