He was born on October 25, 1951 in Oceanside, Ca the son of Thomas and Jane Prince. Mike married Vickie Farrar on August 25, 1973 she preceded him in death on January 23, 1987. He later married Menila Capps on July 30, 2004 in Joplin. Mike was a member of the Independent Bethel Baptist Church, he was a musician who loved to write, play and sing music for his family and church. He also enjoyed carpentry work especially woodworking, even building a home for his family but most of all he loved and enjoyed his family.
Mike was also preceded in death by his parents, a son Aaron Prince, and a sister Treva Prince. Survivors include his wife Menila of the home, two sons: James Peeples of Joplin, Mo and Brandon Peeples of Carthage, MO; five daughters: Mandy Hall and husband Erick of Aurora, MO Carla Talbert of Pierce City, MO, Heather Prince of Kansas City, Mo, Jessica Schulz and husband Jason of Auburn, Wa and Christina Cadwallader and husband Israel of Joplin, MO; five brothers: Tommy, Paul, Jamie, Donnie, and Tony Prince; a sister Maria Harmon and ten grandchildren Brii Morris, Brenden Hall, Mackenzie Hall, Jayden Talbert, Caitlin Talbert, Destani Gary, Jordyne Gary, Jacob Wyrick, Skylar Wyrick and Aidan Peeples.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday February 5, 2015 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory with minister Blaine Nordstrom Officiating. Burial will follow in the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday February 4, 2015 at the Mortuary. The family suggests contributions to the Joplin VFW Post 534 or Water Gardens Ministry in care of the mortuary.
