Georgia Lambeth-Oldfield

Georgia “Turner” Lambeth-Oldfield, 91, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Carthage. Georgia was born December 28, 1925 in Goodman, Missouri to Ransom Turner and Lola “Crowder” Turner.

Georgia was a longtime resident of Carthage and worked as a secretary for H.E. Williams and Morrow Mills. She was also a cook for the Carthage Senior Citizens Center.

Georgia was united in marriage to Gerald Lambeth in 1948; he preceded her in death in 1985. Georgia was then united in marriage to Olin Oldfield in 1988; he preceded her in death in 1990.

Georgia is survived by three sons, Richard Lambeth (Karen) of Carthage, Jo Clevenger (Marlene) of Shawnee, Kansas, Keith Lambeth (Sherrie) of Pryor, Oklahoma; two daughters, Bridget Lippold (Rocky) of Springfield, Missouri, Brenda Hoenshell (Dale) of Webb City; one step-daughter, Jane Wright of LaRussel, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Georgia is preceded in death by one daughter Barbara Fenton, one step-son Jerry Lambeth and one sister, Wilda Bayless.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Hackney Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2017 at Ulmer Funeral Home.

Contributions may be made to the Can-Do Senior Citizens Center.
