Alan Freeman

Alan Jeffery Freeman, age 64, of Marionville, MO passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, May 5, 2023, in his home. He was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on Friday, June 27, 1958; son of Robert "Bob" Freeman and Jonelle “Jo” Hill. 

Jeff had a long and rich career in radio serving as program director and on-air talent at radio stations in Little Rock, Springfield, Wichita, Pittsburg, Joplin, Tulsa and was later recognized consistently as the top-producing salesperson at K95 FM. 








Jeff was an incredibly talented drummer and co-founded the Kow Kountry Band where he performed at many venues in the four-state area, and in recent years enjoyed playing drums in his church worship band. 

He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors, riding his Harley, and spending time with his sidekick and faithful dog, "Jim". Jeff was known by those around him for being an intelligent, fun-loving, selfless, and incredibly giving person who loved both the Lord and people very much.








Surviving are the following: his daughter, Shara Freeman of Tulsa, OK; his parents, Bob and Jonelle Freeman, of Marionville, MO; his brother, Rob Freeman of Ft. Scott, KS; his sister, Merry Kay "Katie" Rindt of Tulsa, OK; his dog, "Jim"; his nieces and nephews; his fellow musicians; and many friends.

Mr. Freeman has been cremated at his request. The family will have a celebration of life which will be announced at a later date for anyone who wishes to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cornerstone Church of God in Marionville, MO. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
