Wilma Hall

Wilma Dean Hall, age 76, of Monett, MO, joined her Heavenly Father on May 16, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO after a sudden illness.

Wilma was born on September 12, 1946 to Clyde and Myrtle Bond of Anderson, MO. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1964. In that same year she married the love of her life, Edward Hall, who preceded her in death on August 5, 2009.

Ed and Wilma lived in many towns from Plattsburg to Crane, MO before settling in Monett where Wilma worked as a Teacher’s Aide for several years. 








In 1992, they moved to Springfield, MO where she worked as Attendance Secretary at Ozarks Technical Community College. In 2018, she relocated back to Monett where she enjoyed reading, shopping and playing cards and board games with friends. She enjoyed volunteering at the hospital, Senior Center, election polls and assembling Braille Bibles. Wilma served others in her loving, caring way and brought smiles to many around her.

She is survived by a son, Mike and his wife Emily of O’Fallon, MO; a daughter, Sherry Smead and her husband Shawn of Garfield, AR; seven grandchildren: Isabel, Jadon, Elliana, Ruby, Charlotte, Josiah and Derrick; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will deeply miss her.








Wilma is also survived by three brothers, Melvin Bond, Marvin Bond, and Bob Bond and a sister Anna Lou Spears all of Anderson, MO. She was preceded in death by her brother Gary Bond.

Memorial visitation will be from 2-4 pm, Saturday, May 20 at Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the Monett Senior Center, payable to “Senior Age”, 405 Dairy Street, Monett, MO 65708. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
