(From Lakin Funeral Home)Jose Luis Uoa, age 40, of Carthage, MO passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023, in Rescue, MO. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday, August 31, 1982. He was the son of Ramiro Ulloa and Julia Lopez.
Jose received an Associate’s Degree in international business from Ozark Technical College.
Jose loved life. He had a big heart, was very generous, funny, sarcastic, stubborn, and independent. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed being with his sons, taking them places and spoiling them. He enjoyed eating at restaurants, shopping, traveling and loved the finer things of life. Jose loved people! He is now rejoined with his dog "Skipper" who he loved so much.
Surviving are his the following: two children, Grayson Tilton and Bennett Tilton along with their mothers, Mary and Laura Tilton of Springfield, MO; his parents, Julia Lopez and Emeterio Salas of Carthage, MO; eight sisters: Araceli Ulloa of Delano, CA, Rosa Salas of Carthage, MO, Karina Ulloa of Newberg, OR, Veronica Salas of Carthage, MO, Maria Salas of Carthage, MO, Janet Poroj of Carl Junction, MO, Evelia Salas of Carthage, MO, and Gloria Salas of Carthage, MO, five brothers, Ramiro Ulloa of Newberg, OR, Emeterio Salas of Carthage, MO, Adrian Salas of Carthage, MO, Gilbert Salas of Carthage, MO, and Christian Salas of Carthage, MO; and many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ramiro Ulloa and his dog, "Skipper".
Jose has been cremated at his request. There will be no services. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
