(From Parker Mortuary)Gary Richard Love, age 81 of Joplin, Missouri passed away on May 9, 2023. Gary was born on November 17, 1941 in Stella, Missouri to the late, Ernest V. Love and Amelia J. Love. He attended school in Stella until 1948 when he moved to Joplin and attended school there until graduation at Joplin High in the class of 1959. Afterwards, Gary attended college where he earned his Associates Degree.
Gary worked for Joplin Public Works, A.Y. McDonald Manufacturing and then retired from BNSF as a Railroad Engineer after 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Judith Louise Love; son, Richard Love; granddaughters, Cheyanne and Zoe Love.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
So sorry to learn of Gary’s passing. I was a first cousin of his mother (We called her Jane.) and I dearly loved the family. I am the youngest of Thomas Alton (Bill) Carnell and now live in Minnesota. My sincere condolences. Marilyn Carnell
