(From Ozark Memorial Park Crematory)It is with deep love and gratitude that we honor the life of Mildred Louise Barnard (Adams), who was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the age of 91. Mildred was born on October 5, 1933, in Baxter Springs, Kansas, to Clem Wade Adams and Georgia Belle Adams (Commer). She spent most of her life in Galena, Kansas, where she touched the hearts of many with her kindness, strength, and faith.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Lester Lee Adams, and twin siblings lost at birth. Her legacy is carried on by her loving husband of 73 years, Lloyd Earnest Barnard, and their four children: Lloyd Wayne Barnard of Joplin, Missouri; Yvonda Tramell of Quapaw, Oklahoma; Roger Barnard of Quapaw, Oklahoma; and Kathy Clouse of Seneca, Missouri.
In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Mildred was a proud grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Her love for her family was boundless, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mildred found much joy in gardening, tending to her flowers and plants with the same care she gave to her family. She would love listening to her favorite song “In the Garden” which brought her much happiness.
Though words can never truly express the depth of our sorrow, we take comfort in knowing that Mildred is now at peace in the presence of her Lord. We find solace in the hope that one day we will be reunited with her, hearing her sweet voice and seeing her beautiful face once more. Until that day, we will carry her memory in our hearts and are so blessed and grateful for the time we had with her and will cherish her memory always. Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park of Joplin, MO.
With love,
Kathy, Roger, Yvonda, Lloyd Wayne, and your devoted husband, Lloyd Earnest Barnard
