(From Parker Mortuary)Ronald C. Esterline, age 68, Joplin, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Freeman West after a lengthy battle against late stage COPD and pneumonia.
Ronald was born July 18, 1956 in Wichita, KS, son of the late Robert R. Esterline and Kathleen L. (Moser) Esterline. He moved with his family to Neosho, MO in 1962. He attended various schools in Neosho, including Neosho High School.
In 1981, he and his two brothers relocated to Tuscon, AZ where he started working for LearJet as a mechanic and a supervisor. More importantly, he raised and supported the children of three different families.
After suffering various personal and systematic hardships, he returned to Neosho in 2005 with the goal of raising his last three children under the same roof as a single father. Even as his health declined, he fought with everything he had to stay alive long enough to overcome every trial and hardship that came their way for the sake of his children. His example will live on in those he left behind and he will be sorely missed.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Alter, and two brothers, Robert Esterline and Randall Esterline.
