(From Daniel Funeral Home)Teressa Kay Jeffries - Melvin, age 59, of Jerico Springs, Missouri passed away November 16, 2024.
Teressa was born July 15, 1965 in Lamar, MO., to Glenn Dale Jeffries and Norma Raye (Kenney) Jeffries. Teressa graduated from Stockton High School in the class of 1983 and received her BSN on December 17, 2021 from Cox School of Nursing.
Teressa worked as a RN in the surgery department at Cox Barton County Hospital. She was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan and Donald Trump supporter. Teressa lived her life with a "gitty up and go" mentality. That was evident at all of her family get-togethers. Strangers were always formally and boisterously welcomed to the family by Teressa's outgoing and loving personality. Never did she miss a moment to say hello or make you feel special, even if it was a little embarrassing. Teressa's main passion in her life were her grandkids, spending as much time as she could with them and taking them on many vacations.
Her other passion was being a nurse. Her family was very proud of her accomplishments in the field of nursing. She furthered her education in nursing somewhat later in life, graduating from nursing school at the age of 56. Without a doubt, her Cox Barton County Hospital co-workers were like her extended family. The sense of pride that she had for her career and co-workers made her beam with confidence. No conversation with Teressa would be complete without her making sure that you were taking care of yourself, and encouraging you to "get that checked out" if needed. Although her family will miss her dearly, we all know that "Nana", "Auntie T", or "T" will be watching over them from here on out as our guardian angel.
