(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Sidney Earl Ames, age 86 years 5 months 25 days, of Carthage, MO passed away on November 19th, 2024 in the comfort of his home.
Sidney was born on May 25th, 1938 to the late James and Macie Ames.
He was a devout Christian and was a charter member of The Sheep Shed in Neosho, MO.
Sidney has been married to his loving wife, Anita, for 35 years and she survives. Additional survivors include one brother, James Ames, four children, Jeannie Malchow, Chrissie Duff, Timothy Hood, and Michele Snider, five grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Nancy McGinthia, one grandchild, Andrew George Snider, and one great-grandchild, Dominic Andrew Snider.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held at 10:00am, Friday, November 22nd, at Mason-Woodard Mortuary, 3701 E 7th St, Joplin, MO 64801. Graveside service will be held at 2:00pm following the visitation at Greenfield City Cemetery.
