(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Darla Sue Hansen, 65, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away at 12:40 am, on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Freeman Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Darla was born on January 23, 1960, in McPherson, Kansas.
She had resided most of her life in Joplin and was of the Christian faith.
She enjoyed making jewelry, crafting, reading, fishing, and cooking. She was a selfless and caring person as she dedicated her life to helping and serving others in some way.
Survivors include, one son; Preston Carver of Pryor, Oklahoma and one daughter; Pamela Merriman of Joplin, Missouri, her mother; Marie Norton Hansen of Joplin, Missouri, one brother; Bruce Hansen of Joplin, Missouri, one sister; Levonna Hansen of Joplin, Missouri, one Grandson; Seth Fraser, three granddaughters; Samia Merriman, Britysh Merriman, and Bailey Merriman, four great grandchildren and Landyn Roush her best friend and life partner.
She was preceded in death by her father; Robert Hansen and one sister; Bonnie “Marlene” Hansen.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
