(From Greenfield Funeral Home)James William “Bill” Van Kam, of South Greenfield, MO, departed this life on Monday, September 22, 2025, in his home at the age of 79.
Bill was born in Weir, KS on December 6, 1945. He was the 8th child of nine children born to Frank and Grace Van Kam. Bill was renowned for his quick wit and deep love for his family. He served his country proudly as a Vietnam vet. On December 30, 1977, he married the love of his life, Teresa Yates. They made their home in Greenfield, MO.
Bill is survived by his wife, Teresa; two daughters, Emily Van Kam and Candace Van Kam; four grandchildren, Michael, Jacob, Malaki, and Makayli; three great-grandchildren, Alejandro, John, and Ryder; two siblings, Emile Van Kam and Vikki Zaccarello.
He was preceded in death by both his parents and six siblings, Mildred Genser, Margaret Ross, Frances Thompson, Frank Van Kam Jr., Anna Uber, and Dora Friend.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
