(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)Nicholas Paul James “Nick” Hemphill of Miami, OK passed from this life Monday, September 15, 2025. He was 28.
Nick was born October 19, 1996 in Claremore, OK to Michael Earl and Amy Lynn (Newman) Hemphill. He had lived in Miami all his life and was a 2015 graduate of Miami High School. He received his Certified Nurses Assistant license from Northeastern Technology in Afton, OK.
Nick worked at Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, OK and for Oxford Home Health Care in Miami, OK. He was an avid Oklahoma University Football fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Earl Hemphill, his maternal grandparents, Paul and Sharon Newman, his paternal grandmother, Peggy Blair and his paternal step-grandmother, Charlene Hemphill.
Nick is survived by his mother, Amy Newman Hemphill of Miami, OK, his sister, Bailey Dunrud and her husband Josh and their daughter Violet of Monterey, CA, his paternal grandfather, James “Jim” Hemphill of Joplin, MO and his aunt, Angela Newman Walters of Miami, OK.
