(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Carol Carnes passed away on September 22, 2025, at age 89. Beloved wife of the late Fred Carnes, beloved mother of Belinda (Cliff) Moore. Late Barbara Weiss and Randy (Barbara) Vander Werf.
Most loved Grandma/Nana to Jeremy (Vickie Sotelo) Moore, Ryan (Jenny) Moore, Dakota Vander Werf, Tessa Vickers (Daniel Nichols) and Tashia Vickers (Roy Cox).
Fun loving Great Grandma of Jordan Moore, Riley Keating, Mason Moore, Bryan Hussey, Connor Hussey, John Hilton, III, and Beth Hilton.
Great- great Grandma of Judah Avery Stitson.
Carol is also survived by sister Elaine Thomson, brothers Glen DeChene and Michael (Rose) DeChene and many nieces and nephews.
Carol held many jobs, bartender, waitress, house cleaner, launderess, and babysitter.
She loved her family and friends.
There will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 26, 2025, at Oak Hill Cemetery, in Carthage, Missouri. The visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri.
