(From Parker Mortuary)With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Darlene Lynn Dowling (DD), who passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025 at the age of 70.
Born in Trenton, Michigan, she was the daughter of John and Gertrude Rodgers. Darlene was the wife of the late, Ronald Dowling, devoted mother to Kristopher Tucker (Angie), Kimberly Tucker, and stepmother to Dorri Donnel (Dustin). She was the grandmother to Logan Tucker, Jretyn Tucker, Jerome Tucker and Grace Donnel, whom she loved with her whole heart. She was the sister to Jean Parks (Gary) and Gary Rodgers and had many nieces and nephews and friends.
DD was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gertrude Rodgers; her husband, Ronald Dowling; three sisters, Bonnie West DeHaven, Barbara Colburn and Denise Lee; and two nephews, Kenneth Lee and John Lee.
DD will always be remembered for the love she had for her family and her spiciness.
A celebration of life will be held at Cunningham Park in Joplin, MO on Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. Please wear something purple, if possible, as this was her favorite color.
Cremation arrangements are under the special care of Parker Mortuary.
