Anthony Alexander

(From Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home)

Anthony Scott Alexander, 39, of St. Joseph, Missouri, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born in Monett, Missouri, on November 17, 1986, the beloved son of James Alexander and Kim Spears.

He was a beautiful soul—full of life, laughter, and adventure. Handsome, athletic, and always ready with a smile, Anthony had a rare way of making everyone around him feel seen, valued, and loved. He loved the color red and proudly cheered for the Kansas City Chiefs, finding joy in the simple moments that brought people together.

He was a loyal friend, a loving father to his son, devoted family member, and a hard-working construction worker who took pride in what he did. He could light up a room just by walking into it, and his laughter will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.

Anthony is survived by his son, Josiah Alexander of Kansas City, Missouri; his girlfriend, Jamie Byrd; his parents, James Alexander (Bobbi) of Cassville, Missouri, and Kim Spears (Keith) of Osawatomie, Kansas; five brothers, Travis Spears of Springfield, Missouri, Harley Alexander of Sacramento, California, Garrett Alexander of Sacramento, California, Wyatt Alexander of Purdy, Missouri, and Dustin Moore of Purdy, Missouri; three sisters, Vanessa Alexander of Joplin, Missouri, Mackenzie Alexander of Joplin, Missouri, and Cierra Moore of Kansas City, Missouri; two step-brothers, Timmy Plopper and John Plopper; one step-sister, Casey Nguyen of Monett, Missouri; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial visitation will be held in Anthony’s honor on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
