(From Ozark Funeral Home)Sarah Ann Breckenridge, age 66, of Carthage, Missouri, formerly of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Monday morning, December 15, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, after a brief illness. She entered this life on May 23, 1959, in Powell, Missouri, born to the union of the late Lloyd Jenkins, Sr. and Essie (Goodnight) Jenkins.
She was raised in Powell, Missouri and resided most of her adult life in Anderson. She worked several years at Concordia Care Facility in Bella Vista, Arkansas, where she poured her heart into her work, offering comfort and companionship to those in her care. She married Calvin Breckenridge and together they shared many years before his passing on July 7, 2019.
She is survived by her two sons, Raymond Adams and wife, Becky, of Anderson, Missouri and Christopher Adams of Neosho, Missouri; five stepsons, James, Steven, Casey, Kevin and Dustin Breckenridge; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Lloyd Jenkins, Jr. of Goodman, Missouri; two sisters, Caroline Jenkins of Carthage, Missouri and Audra Elliott of Jane, Missouri. Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of her extended family and a host of friends who found in her a confidante and a true friend. Her parents, husband and an infant brother, George Jenkins, preceded her in death.
Memorial services are 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2025 at Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri with Pastor Jamey Cope officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home chapel. Arrangements are under the care of Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
