Priscilla Six

(From Knell Mortuary)

Priscilla Ann Six, 83, Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Springfield Health and Rehab, Springfield, Missouri. She was born on November 20, 1942, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of the late Forrest Miller and Lucille (Burrow) Miller.

Priscilla's journey began as a proud graduate of Carthage High School in 1960, where she laid the foundations for a life characterized by continuous learning and personal growth. Her professional life was marked by her meticulous work as a bookkeeper and legal secretary, roles in which she excelled and brought her considerable organizational talents to bear. In the early 1980’s, when Ike Six retired, Priscilla took over the family business of Six’s Sports Shop in Carthage, a venture that was not only a business but a labor of love and a hub for the community.

Her marriage to Charlie, on January 21, 1961 in Carthage Missouri, was a testament to enduring love, with nearly 65 years of shared joys and challenges. Together, they raised a family that became the center of Priscilla's world. She is survived by her husband; her children, Kevin Six (Nancy), Waco, Texas, and Connie Neer, Ozark, Missouri. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Shelby Six, Spencer Six (Keri), Bailey Neer, and Brantley Neer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends who felt like family. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Vera Jean McNew, and Mary McWilliams.

Priscilla's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a dedicated member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Shell Knob, Missouri. Her involvement in an investment club in her later years showcased her keen mind and her enjoyment in the camaraderie and intellectual stimulation it provided.

A woman of many passions, Priscilla was an avid writer, reader, and lifelong learner. Her annual Christmas letter was a cherished tradition, eagerly anticipated by her family and friends, filled with updates, reflections, and her warm spirit. Her love of the lake and the simple joy of hosting fish fries for friends and family were among her favorite ways to spend time, always surrounded by laughter and love. One of her joys was making friends and establishing numerous lifelong friendships that she truly cherished and relied on during her battle with cancer. She battled ovarian cancer for 11 years and fought until the very end.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, Monday, December 22, 2025, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. The burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Carthage. Memorial gifts are suggested to GYN Cancers Alliance, Springfield, Missouri in care of Knell Mortuary. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com.
