Danny Reynolds

(From Parker Mortuary)

Daniel “Danny” Reese Reynolds, age 70, of Joplin, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.

Danny was born on September 25, 1955 in Indianapolis, IN. Early in his childhood, he was adopted by Max and Harriett (Taylor) Reynolds. He was a proud graduate of Parkwood High's class of 1973. Danny began working on the pipeline in Alaska for a few years before beginning his career as a diesel trailer mechanic.

He married Sheryl McGehee on July 5, 2007 in Webb City, MO. Danny was extremely onery, always playing jokes on Sheryl, but also always showing how much he cared for her. Together they were blessed with 18 years of marriage before his passing. Through his life, Danny's interests reflected his love for the great outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, often found at the break of dawn on the still waters of his favorite fishing spots. When he wasn’t fishing, Danny was cruising down the road on his Harley Davidson with his brothers. Those who knew Danny would say he was as funny as he was handy. Danny's life was a testament to the power of joy and resilience. His infectious laugh and the ease with which he approached life's challenges will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by five siblings, Tom Reyonlds, Jimmy Fiddler, Tanja Everitt, Sunny Everitt and Jackie Harlan.

Danny is survived by his wife, Sheryl Reynolds; daughter, Sarah Reynolds; two step-daughters, Melissa Jones and Shirley Jones and husband, Ed; adopted daughter, TaekwonDa “Tae” Duncan and husband, Lloyd; two sisters, Darla Wilson and husband, Scotty, and Ruth Powers; two brothers, Daryl Mann and Brent Thomas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Celebration Church at 13th and Duquesne Rd. with Brent Thomas officiating.

The family welcomes anyone who would like to, to bring a dish for a potluck following the service.

Cremation arrangements are under the special care of Parker Mortuary.
