Cecile E. Ivie, 73, formerly of Carthage, MO, passed away early Monday morning, March 13, 2017 at Freeman Hospital West, Joplin, MO. Cecile Elaine Summers was born February 5, 1944 in Joplin, MO to the late Clifford E. Summers and Iona A. (Long) Summers. She graduated from Duenweg High School, Class of 1962. Cecile worked as a caser and cutter for Schreiber Foods in Carthage for 33 years.
Survivors include one son, Clyde Eugene Ivie (wife Janet), Joplin, MO; two grandsons, Ian Andrew Ivie, Joplin, MO and Tyler Shrock (wife Trisha), Cole Camp, MO; two granddaughters, Natasha Durand (husband Daniel), Fairfax, UT and Lisa Gaylord (husband Brandon), Smithton, MO; and four great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation will be held 6-7 p.m., Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Knell Mortuary.
