Norma Nadean Duncan, of Joplin, crossed over to be with her heavenly Father, March 18, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.
Norma was born January 8, 1920, in Neck City, Missouri, the daughter of William “Mike” Dillon and Maude (Garrison) Dillon. She was preceded in death by three brothers Norman, Dorance, Jack and a daughter Kathaleen Sue Westfall.
June 5, 1948 she married Johnie A. Duncan. Now deceased.
Norma worked for Elders Shirt Factory, Piggly Wiggly and Messenger Bible Book Store where she retired in 1982. Norma was a devoted loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She led a godly example daily before her family and all who met her. She loved The Lord with all her heart and never failed to give Him glory. She was a prayer warrior her entire adult life. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.
She is survived by one daughter Sharron (Duncan) Lassiter, husband Charles of Joplin; four grandchildren, Joshua Westfall, Heather Lassiter, Angela Westfall and Nathan Lassiter; three great-grandchildren, Celese, Dylan, and Arrow.
Services will be held at Joplin Family Worship Center March 22 , 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Purcell Friends cemetery.
The family request contribution’s be made to the Gideon’s in care of the Mortuary.
